Friday Finds!

I think I’m going to start doing something I’m calling “Friday Finds!”. Basically, just posting some of my very favorite finds that I stumble across throughout the week & sharing them with you! Hopefully they spark something in you too :)

Because I have a confession: one of my absolute favorite things to do is browse Pinterest (for HOURS. Seriously people, it’s a sickness!!), look through magazines & pore over different websites, finding for inspiration & ideas for our house.

I have this Himalayan handmade paper notebook that I got while the hubs & I were in Seattle this past summer, and I use it to stash all my ideas. Lord knows what would happen if I ever lost that thing. I’d probably implode.

For me, it’s soo helpful to write everything down that I’d like to do to/in the house. I feel like when you can see what needs to be done, the cost, the priority level, etc., it totally increases your productivity! Of course, I’m also that person who thinks it’s Christmas anytime someone even mentions a label maker or color coding so… there’s that.

Here are a few of my favorite finds this week… If I could buy everything I’m about to list, I’d be a very happy girl. For now though, I’ll just have to settle for the pretty pictures ;)

Twist Swivel Stool $119.99 @ World Market

Twist Swivel Stool $119.99 @ World Market

This stool. World Market holds my heart, y’all. I have two metal stools from Target for our bar, but need a third one. Got my sights set on this beaut. Soon!

Nelson Industrial Bench ON SALE $149.99 @ World Market

Nelson Industrial Bench ON SALE $149.99 @ World Market

This bench. Looove it. Not sure where I’d put it- maybe in the backyard? Once it’s fixed up? Cuz it’s a jungle right now. No, seriously. The previous owner was going for a Japanese-zen-garden-type feel & now it’s just outta control! And overgrown. And overwhelming. I’m dreaming of beautiful sod, an open porch, gorgeous lighting, a firepit for s’mores… this bench in the mix. Can you picture it?! Happy sigh.

These rugs. I can’t decide. They’re similar. But different. But not. I can’t make up my mind!! I think we are definitely gonna go with jute though, when the time comes.

These pendant lights. Dreaming of one over my stove, next to the bar (I’ll post a pic soon!). Again, love them both. Opinions? Thoughts? HELP??

What are some of your favorite stores to shop at? Where do you find inspiration?

Are you a free spirit when it comes to decorating and renovations? Or do you like to have a game plan?

PS: Here’s a sneak peek of next week’s recipes!! They were deeeelicious so make sure you pop back by on Monday and check ’em out!!  :)

My Favorite Paleo Products

If you’re anything like me when I first started Paleo, the sheer amount of products out there was so overwhelming that I didn’t even know where to begin. There are so many quality options when it comes to cooking with coconut oil, butter, etc., which is great, but having to actually choose one can definitely make you sweat a little. So, here are a few of my personal favorites!

Coconut oil- your new best friend!

Coconut oil- your new best friend!

This is great! Not too pricey and easy to use. And before you start wigging out about your food having a coconut aftertaste, you can just lay that fear to rest right now- there is no lingering coconuttiness (and yes, I did just make that word up)! I like to use this as a base for a lot of dishes (ex: my Paleo Chili, Paleo Chicken Curry (coming soon!) and other various desserts).

So, so good.

So, so good.

Coconut butter… now where do I begin? This stuff is delish. Put a little dab on your pancakes, add some to your mashed sweet potatoes , the list could go on and on… dream big with this one! ;) (Disclaimer: even though it’s Paleo, butter is still butter… so just be smart about how much you consume :))

Trader Joe's might just be the happiest place on earth

Trader Joe’s might just be the happiest place on earth

This right here is my absolute go-to! I use it for anything and everything: spraying a pan, lightly greasing a cookie sheet, whatever else needs a little bit of extra love. I know that some of you have no idea what Trader Joe’s is (my heart weeps for you), so if you don’t live near one, your local grocery store should carry a similar spray.

These items or ones like them should all be at your local supermarkets. Hopefully this gives you an idea of what you’ll need to really get started cooking Paleo-style!

If you have a favorite go-to product, I’d love to hear about it! :)
